George Osborn May 2018

Hitchin Priory - George Osborn

Few people understand the failings of the Conservative Party in government quite as well as George. The poor guy has spent much of the last eight years being incorrectly tagged by people in angry tweets intended for his near namesake. George's background is as a journalist, specialising in football video games. As an Event Director, he's organised and run large-scale conferences on both sides of the Atlantic. Hitchin is where he calls home though. George played an active role in last year's General Election campaign and led our recent 'Your Liberal Britain' policy brainstorming session at The Sun Hotel.

Working with his Liberal Democrat colleagues, Andy wants to see a sustainable and green future for all of us in different communities, so we have a fairer and pleasant place to live, study, work and enjoy.

Lisa Nash May 2018

Knebworth - Lisa Nash

Knebworth has been a solid Conservative ward for ages, but change might be in the air. The village is alarmed at the hollowing out of its social amenities, the threats to its train timetable, the traffic congestion on its high street, and a recent spike in anti-social behaviour. All things its two Conservative councillors have been pretty ineffectual at tackling. Lisa would be a breathe of fresh air. As Chair of Save Our Station Pub, Knebworth (SOSPUB) she has become a well-known figure locally. People in Knebworth can see how passionate she is about creative a more cohesive and nurturing community.
