Pot hole hell on Grove Road

After badgering Hertfordshire Highways for months Lisa Courts finally has the road improvements she has been urgently pressing for. During her campaign to reduce the number of HGV's using Hitchin roads at all hours and in increasing numbers, Lisa - Liberal Democrat District Council candidate for Bearton Ward - was made aware of the state of Grove Road in particular.

She started letter writing immediately, but had no luck. So, in desperation, she resorted to constantly telephoning the agency to make them aware of the seriousness of the problem.

Lisa said: "Although pot holes may seem unimportant, the state of Grove Road was shocking. Residents and businesses voiced their concerns to me and I was more than happy to help as best as I could. It's great to see the road improvements about to finally start."
