Hitchin market stall a great success8.28.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 6th Oct 2009
On Saturday 3rd October Hitchin Market Place hosted the third Hitchin & Harpenden Liberal Democrats' Meet 'n' Greet stall. With both District Councillors and our parliamentary candidate, Nigel Quinton, on hand to answer people's questions it proved a popular event.
After the Liberal Democrats successful county council elections in June, Hitchin's Market Stall was an opportunity for the residents of Hitchin to meet the local party. But it wasn't only about politics, for the avid reader out there we also had a varied range of second-hand books for sale.
Nigel Quinton (Hitchin & Harpenden PPC) said "These stalls have been a fantastic opportunity to talk to residents and let them know the work we are doing. Whether it is about the Town Hall, or the importance of action on climate change, the discussions are always animated and interesting."
This was one of many local Liberal Democrat events which have taken place over the course of 2009, if you would like to get involved contact Tony Freeman.
