Nigel Quinton

Biography:Nigel Quinton is the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC) for Hitchin & Harpenden. He lives a mile from the constituency border in Lemsford, and is married with two children. For two years, Nigel was councillor in Welwyn Garden City, where as the LibDem borough health champion he worked to get the Hatfield Hospital delivered as promised by Labour, and finally helped to get a promise of new health facilities in Welwyn Garden City. He also sat on the Environment and Social Overview and Scrutiny Committees, and was responsible for pushing the Tory-run council to sign the Nottingham Declaration last year. Nigel ran a successful business before devoting himself to politics full time.
